Brazil sees 3,158 deaths in a day

In the last 24 hours, 486,240 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus around the world while 10,214 died from the pandemic. Brazil has registered the highest number of deaths from the pandemic and infections during the period.
Earlier on Tuesday, 407,546 COVID-19 patients were detected while 7,125 deaths related to the disease were reported worldwide.
As of Wednesday morning (24-03-2021), a total of 124,803,116 people has been diagnosed with coronavirus worldwide, as the death toll rises to 2,746,273 while 100,831,021 patients have recovered.  
Brazil has registered 3,158 deaths and 84,996 new cases in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 298,843 people died in the country due to the pandemic and 12,136,615 have been infected so far.
The US, the worst-hit country in the world, has registered the second-highest death toll of 936 during the time. With this, the tally of fatalities from the pandemic has risen to 556,883 in the country. Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 30,636,534 as 58,705 new cases were confirmed during the period. The country is still at the top in coronavirus deaths and infections.
Italy has seen the third-highest death toll of 551 in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 105,879. The total number of cases has exceeded 3,419,616 with 18,765 new infections.
In Russia, 427 more people have died from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 95,818. Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 4,474,610 as 8,457 new cases were confirmed during the period.
Poland has reported 16,741 new coronavirus cases, taking the overall caseload to 2,089,869. The death toll due to COVID-19 climbed to 49,761 with 396 people succumbing to the disease in a span of 24 hours.
The coronavirus, that first reported in China in 2019, is now affecting 219 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
