Poultry owner Abul Hossain physically assaulted Munira Yasmin, wife of Kundagram BRAC office in Adamdighi upazila, on August 24.
Monira Yasmin went to buy chicken at one Ayub Hossain’s poultry farm on the day. At that time, she took Ayub’s 30-day-old baby in her arms and caressed him. She also gave the baby Tk 200. Ayub was not at the farm at the time. The family members did not understand this and they quickly informed Ayub.
Ayub immediately came to his farm and without understanding the situation he physically assaulted the woman. The incident took place at around 10:00am.
A complaint has been lodged with Adamdighi Police Station, the BRAC official told this correspondent. Talking to district BRAC Officer, he said that the matter was completely inhumane. There should be a fair legal trial.
While talking to the accused Ayub Hossain, he informed this correspondent that his family suspected the woman to be a child lifter. “Now I understand that what I did is wrong”.
Adamdighi Police Station Officer-in-Charge Jalal Uddin said that a complaint has been lodged with the police station in this regard.
