Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football will begin on July 24 instead of July 15.
A total of 12 teams will take part in the gala football meet. The matches of BPL will be held at six venues. The competition will be held on home and away basis.
The inaugural match will be held at MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong.
The participating teams are: Dhaka Abahani Limited, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Limited, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited, Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limted, Feni Soccer Club, Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra, Brothers Union Limited, Team BJMC, Arambagh Krira Sangha, Chittagong Abahani Limited, Uttar Baridhara Club. Rahmatganj MFS.
The venues are: Bangabandhu National Stadium, MA Aziz Stadium, Rajshahi Stadium, Barisal Stadium, Mymensingh Stadium, Gopalganj Stadium.
The 24 matches will be held in Dhaka. Rest of the 108 matches will be taken place out of Dhaka.
Saif Global Powertech Limited has sold all the wrights of the competition. Press & publications, branding, television wrights, radio, marketing & media will be directly supervised by Saif Global Powertech Limited, the sponsor of the meet.
Professional Football League Committee of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) took those decisions in a meeting held at the BFF House on Thursday. Chairman of the Professional Football League Committee of BFF and Senior Vice-President of BFF Abdus Salam Murshedy presided over the meeting.
