The sixth edition of Bangladesh Premier League that is scheduled to be held in January 2019 is the availability of big names from overseas because of the busy international cricket schedule.
All international sides except Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan and Ireland have a busy January of new calendar 2019. This marks a big question on whether BPL would be available for valuable foreign players. Moreover, the BPL clash with Australia’s Big Bash League T20 season which could overshadow the Bangladeshi league. New Zealand’s Super Smash T20 too clashes with BPL
Australia’s full series with India will continue in January. The likes of Chris Lynn could not be missing in BPL New Zealand’s home season will be going on with Sri Lanka and India Sri Lanka will then travel to Australia Pakistan will be touring South Africa from December 2018 to February 2019. Windies will host England for a full series during that time as well.
A huge number of overseas players came from Windies, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The schedule puts their players’ participation in BPL on the borderline.
With the BBL going on at the same time as BPL, more T20 specialists are expected to move from Bangladesh instead of Bangladesh. Even Afghan leggie Rashid Khan can be playing the BBL He played for Adelaide Strikers last season.
