Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) has made Taka 28.84 crore profit against before giving taxes the total income of Taka 304.28 crore during the first six months of current fiscal year.
“It is a significant achievement for BPC as they are making profit despite facing lots of blockade and hartals due to the political unrest before the January 5 polls,” BPC Chairman M Maksudul Hasan Khan told BSS today.
It is encouraging when a government body can make profit after giving all values added tax and other service charges accurately, he said.
BPC chairman said dynamism has been observed in the corporation’s activities after its all unit came under online system. It’s can be an example of the government’s ongoing endeavor of building digital Bangladesh, he said.
All the BPC commercial unit chiefs presented their financial reports of first six months of the fiscal from July to December of 2013 at the 38th commercial conference of the corporation held at Hotel Abakash here on Thursday.
