Staff Reporter :A boy was allegedly beaten to death in city’s Darus Salam area on Saturday night by some other boys over altercation over some triffling matter.The victim was identified as Al Amin, 10, son of Kamal Hossain, an inhabitant of Chitakhola in the city.Police detained five persons in this connection. They are being interrogated. Darus Salam Police Station’s Officer in-Charge Rafiqul Islam said that some boys of the area forcedly cut his hair around 7:30pm and at one stage beat him so mercilessly that Amin sustained critical injuries. Later he was rushed to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead at 10:30 pm, the police official said.The body was sent to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy.A case was filed in this connection.
