At the end of its first week, Dum Laga Ke Haisha continues to notch up a good figure at the box office. With an opening weekend of Rs. 6.25 crore, the film has worked in the theatres thanks to the extremely positive word of mouth. On Monday, the film collected Rs. 1.11 crore which was similar to its opening Friday collection. The film continued to be rock-steady at the box office on the following days as well, earning Rs. 1.11 crore on Tuesday, Rs. 1.08 crore on Wednesday and Rs. 1.10 crore on Thursday. The total collection at the end of the first week for the YRF release is a total of Rs. 10.48 crore. If the film continues its steady collections, it can look to make around Rs.b18 crore overall, which will be good for the small budget film. Ab Tak Chhappan 2, on the other hand, hasn’t been able to impress at the box office. After a slow weekend, collecting only Rs. 4.9 crore, the film witnessed a massive drop on Monday, collecting only Rs. 65 lakhs. The numbers steadily declined over the course of the week, with Rs. 56 lakhs on Tuesday, Rs. 50 lakhs on Wednesday, only to finish with Rs. 46 lakhs on Thursday. The overall collections for the week for Ab Tak Chhappan 2 total up to Rs. 7 crore, leaving not much room for growth hereafter. With the new releases like Badmashiyan, Hey Bro, Dirty Politics and Coffee Bloom making little or no impact on their opening day, films like Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Badlapur can look to score numbers at the box office this week as well.
