Country’s premier bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Monday displayed a modest gain as investors’ participation was notable on the both sides of the fence.
The broad index, DSEX closed at 4693.62 points on the day with a gain of 5.19 points or 0.11 percent.
Besides, the two selective indices, Blue Chip index, DSE30 went down marginally by 2.31 points while the Shariah index, DSES up slightly by 0.81 points to settle at 1635.85 points and 1076.64 points respectively.
On the DSE trading floor, a total number of 132,206 trades were executed in today’s trading session with a trading volume of 159.47 million securities.
Gainers took a strong lead over the losers as out of 336 issues traded, 153 securities gained price while 125 declined and 58 remained unchanged.
