Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury has said both government and BNP have been ‘infected with coronavirus’.
“The government is infected with corona for rape and corruption while BNP for backboneless politics,” he said while addressing a human chain programme
organised by Ganotantra Forum against rape in front of the Jatiya Press Club.
Dr Zafrullah also urged the government to stop rape and corruption while BNP to come out of the backboneless politics, saying the country will plunge into darkness if otherwise.
He claimed that country’s mothers and sisters cannot live peacefully the way activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) are getting engaged in gang-rape incidents.
Claiming that there is no good governance in the country, the Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder said BCL men cannot engage in rape incidents here and there if there is good governance.
He urged the government head to quit, saying, “Enough is enough. Please quit. The country can’t run in this way. There’s no peace anywhere.”
Dr Zafrullah also took a swipe at the government over the hike in the price of onion following the ban on export by India, saying the situation would have been created had the government taken step beforehand.
