Both DSE, CSE begin week in red

Key share price index in the country’s twin bourses-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — suffered loss on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX shed 56.76 points or 1.24 percent to reach 4498.34 at the close of trading on Sunday. Of the 283 issues traded, 93 gained, 161 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 378.57 crore changed hands at the DSE on the day.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were Shahjalal Bank, NBL, GQ Ball Pen, RD Food, Southeast Bank, Continental Insurance, Asia Pacific Insurance, Linde BD, First Bangladesh Fixed Income Fund, and Pragati Insurance.
