Indian Home Minister due tomorrow: Border killing, terrorism on agenda

Indian united Home Minister Rajnath Singh is due to arrive in Dhaka tomorrow (Friday) on a three-day official visit.
Officials at the Bangladesh Home Ministry and Indian High Commission in Dhaka said that Rajnath would be coming to Dhaka for a Home Minister-level meeting.
During his visit, Rajnath may discuss various important issues, evaluate status of implementation of various commitments and agreements between the two countries.
The visit will be a follow-up of a Home Minister-level meeting. dialogue held in New Delhi in July 2016.
The Indian minister is expected to have discussion with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and Home Minister. An exclusive discussion will taken place between the border security officials of the two countries to set some effective instruction to decrease the killing and abduction by border soldiers mainly Border Security Force (BSF).
The talks will also to give emphasis on steps against smuggling, child trafficking and terrorism besides Rohingya crisis.
Rajnath Singh will also visit Bangladesh Police Academy (BPA) in Rajshahi’s Sardah where he along with Asaduzzaman will inaugurate India-Bangladesh Friendship IT Building. The four-storey building has been built under a joint financing arrangement for providing sophisticated IT facilities.
In Sardah, a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) will also be signed between Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) Hyderabad and Bangladesh Police Academy (BPA) Sardah to institutionalise and intensify cooperation between the police forces of the two countries.
