 ‘Firey Dekha Jibon : Smriti O Onubhob’ by Nurul Amin is a book with vivid description of the writer’s experiences, feelings and reflections from his very boyhood till the present day. The language is simple, yet attractive. The writer’s experiences, presented in modern outook, have educative value.
The writer describes his personal and family life and those related with him. It has also focused on psychological, philosophic and sociological aspects of life. It has thrown critical insight on rural middle class, urban life and the lives of the expatriates.
The contents include : 1st Part: Life and experience : Reflection and perception (P. 23-104) and 2nd Part: Life in retrospect (P.105-184) and Photo album (P.185-200).
In the ‘Shesher Kotha’ (concluding words), the writer said, “In my personal life, I did not make any harm to anybody knowingly. I did not try to show anyone inferior to make me superior. I have all along hated lie according to the advice of my father. I did not like to enjoy happiness by hurting others.” We appreciate the honesty, integrity and strong principle of the writer as a responsible citizen of our peace loving society.
