Book publication ceremony at DIU

The publication ceremony of a book titled “A Journey Towards Entrepreneurship” authored and published by Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University (DIU) and former President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) was held on Saturday at DIU Auditorium.
The function was also addressed by Prof Dr SM Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Hamidul Haque Khan, Treasurer and Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director of Student Affairs.
While addressing PKSF Chairman Quazi Kholikuzzaman Ahmad said, Bangladesh would not to be a higher economic country if we can’t transfer to industry based economy from agriculture based economy. So we have to go on industry. And to go the way of industry, we need a lot of entrepreneurs. But it’s a matter of great regret that we don’t have sufficient instruction to create new entrepreneur. This book will help a lot to overcome that problem, he added.
He also urged to ensure equal development and try to involve all walks of people to the project of entrepreneurship. It is very much important to spread the concept of entrepreneurship in rural area, he added.
Executive Chairman of BIDA Kazi M. Aminul Islam said, It is hoped that Bangladesh will be a middle income country by 2021 and a higher economic country developed country by 2041 and for these development we need to create millions of entrepreneurs in our country and Sabur Khan has realized this truth that’s why he introduced Entrepreneurship Department, business incubator and venture capital in his university and also wrote the book on Entrepreneurship. Government has taken lots of initiative for creating new entrepreneurs. Getting bank loan is not a big deal nowadays. So it is easy to be an entrepreneur. He wished that this book would help the young entrepreneurs by various ways.
DCCI President Abul Kashem Khan said, It is predicted that Bangladesh is going to join in the line of developed countries mainly based on the young and energetic entrepreneurs of the country, because the way to become an entrepreneur has been made so easier and government has taken lots of initiative through EEF, SME loan and many others. Now we need to bring change in our higher education syllabus and academic Curriculum. He urged to impose syllabus and academic curriculum in such a way so that our youth could be skilled on language, communication and management from the student life, he added.
In the publication Ceremony author and publisher of the book Mr. Md. Sabur Khan said, the book will help the new entrepreneurs as a guideline to know ins and outs to form a new company or initiating a new business. Gaining skills, pricing of product, techniques to satisfy customers, starting business activities, getting trade license, loan and different guidelines for preparing a project plans have been discussed elaborately in the book, which would help anyone intended to become an Entrepreneur, he added.
