Police have arrested a suspected robber from Mirpur area of the city.
Arrested Helal Hossain Helanchi, 50, was an accused in nine cases including of robbery and stealing. He is a resident of Ridhoil village in Nandigram upazila of Bogrua district.
He was sentenced to six months in jail and fined Tk 500 in a case in 2016.
Nandigram Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Kamrul Islam said on information, a team of police conducted a drive in Mirpur area of Dhaka on Sunday morning and arrested him.
Helal was sent to jail on Monday afternoon following a court order.
