An old woman’s hanged dead body was recovered from her room at Ramkistapur under Chapainawabganj municipality on Friday morning.
The dead body has been identified as Rekha Bewa, 60, wife of late Shukur Rahman of the aforesaid area.
Officer in Charge (OC) of Chapainawabganj sadar thana Jasim Uddin said, Rekha committed suicide in her room by hanging with the ceiling at anytime on Thursday night. Seeing her hanging on Friday morning, members of her family informed police. Later police recovered the dead body at around 11 am and sent it to Chapainawabganj sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
