Dead body of a youth recovered from the top floor of the police office in Barisal on Wednesday noon.
Shakhawat Hossain, Kotwali police station- in- charge, said, the dead body was identified as Jahirul Hasan Ruku, 35, son of late Abdul Aziz Contractor of West Kalibari Road area of the city.
Abu Raihan Md. Saleh, deputy commissioner (north and traffic) , said Barisal Metropolitan Police rented the ground and first floor of the house as office and Ruku was leaving lonely on a room at the top on the roof floor.
The sweepers and staff of the office becoming aware about bad smell from that room informed officials and police breaking the room locked from inside found Ruku dead and lying on bed, said Murad Ahmed, a journalist living as tenant in another portion of the premise.
