Body of young man recovered after 2 days of missing

The dead body of a young man was recovered by the police from a canal of Majhidanga, an adjacent village of Bagerhat district town on the bank of the river Bhairab on Saturday noon. The dead body was identified as Mahmudul Hasan Roni (25), son of one Abdus Salam, a businessman of Bagerhat BSIC industrial area. The dead body was sent to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for its autopsy.
Family members informed that the deceased Roni who was a Degree examinee under the Open University of Bangladesh left the house on Thursday at 5 pm taking his newly purchased Pulshar motor cycle. But he did not return home and since then he was missing. The members of his family and his relatives searched him hither and thither. But no trace of him was found. His father lodged a GD with Bagerhat Model PS on Friday at night. At the same night the father disclosed to the news men in the local Press Club that his son had no enemy and he had been, perhaps, killed by some one for the motor cycle.
Md Ali Azam Khan, Officer-in-Charge of Bagerhat Model PS disclosed to the news men, a number of cut injuries were found on throat and other places of the dead body. It is guessed that he was, perhaps, killed by some one and the dead body was thrown into the canal.
