Floating dead body of young girl aged about 20 was recovered on Wednesday from canal at Rahmatpur under Barishal Airport police station.
Zahid bin Alam, officer in charge of the police station, said the body was recovered
by police from Razar Berer canal under Rahmanpur bridge at about 10:00 AM Wednesday being informed by local people.
Nasrin Zahan, assistant commissioner of police, said the body was identified as Masuda Begum, daughter of Malek Sardar from Madavpasha union under Babuganj upazila of the district.
She was suffering from epilepsy and went missing from home since about 8 days ago.
The body was sent to Barishal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
