The body of a missing child namely Kamal was found floating in a drain in the city’s customs area.Locals saw the body at noon on Thursday (December 9), said Babu Mia, sub-inspector of Panchlaish police station.
He said he came to the scene on the news of finding a body.
Family members were notified to identify the body of the missing child two days ago. Father of demises Ali Kausar identified the body as that of the missing Kamal.
Last Monday at 4 pm in the area of Sholashahar, the child named Kamal drowned in the drain. Upon receiving the news around 3 pm on Tuesday, the fire service personnel started working to rescue the child.
