Body of housewife recovered in Kurigram

Bhurungamari thana police recovered the dead body of a house wife from a maize field at char Nolea of Bhurungamari Upazila in Kurigram on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Alema Khatun 32 wife of Ainal Ali of village Khochabarir Char under Telai union in the upazila.
Police and local sources said, some boys of char Nolea went to char area cutting grass and saw the dead body at about 5pm on Thursday. Later they informed the matter to police. Rafikul Islam brother of Alema said she had no good relation with her husband causing she used to go to her relatives house. She has two sons.
OC of Bhurungamari Police Station Tapos Chandra Pandit admitted the incident and told The New Nation that there was injured sign in the mouth and throat of the deceased body. She was mentally disordered. OC and thana police suspected that she might have been killed and then her body was thrown to the maize field, he added.
The body however recovered and was sent to Kurigram Sadar Hospital morgue for post mortem examination. A case was filed ofr her on Friday but none was arrested .
