Police recovered a body of an unidentified young girl at Gerua under Ashulia Police Station in Dhaka district on Sunday.
Police suspect that miscreants first violated the girl and then killed.
Ruhul Amin, Sub-Inspector of Ashulia Police Station said, on Sunday noon locals informed the incident to the police station. Instantly police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
“The girl was strangled to death after violation” he said.
The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. Ashulia police filed a UD case with the incident. No one has been arrested in connection with the incident till filing of the report.
