The body of a young man was found in a sack at Mudli in the suburb of the district town on Friday.
Police recovered the body of Sohel, 30, son of late Nurannabi of Mudli Khapara, from a mahogany tree garden near Mudli railway crossing around 11am.
Family sources said two young men called Sohel out their house on Thursday night but he did not return home.
Locals spotted his body in a sack in the tree garden in the morning and informed police.
Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station Apurba Hasan said Sohel was accused in six cases, including of murder and drugs.
He was released from jail one month ago, the OC said, adding that he might have been killed following previous enmity over drug peddling.
