Police recovered the decomposed body of a young man from the Buriganga River in Gosaighat area of Dakkhin Keraniganj upazila on Tuesday afternoon.
Locals informed police after seeing the body floating on the river, said sub-inspector M Shahidul, in-charge of Hasnabad River Police Camp.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, said the SI adding that the reasons behind the death will be known after getting the autopsy report.
An unnatural death case was filed with Dakkhin Keraniganj Police Station in this connection.
