Awami League Presidium Member and Health Minister Mohammed Nasim has said that neither his party nor he is scared of bomb attacks.
“You can’t scare me with a couple of blasts. I’m not someone who runs away. The AL is not a party that can be scared off. It has led mass uprisings and the
Liberation War. It cannot be scared with couple of bomb explosions by Khaleda Zia’s hired goons,” the minister said.
He said after a programme, attended by him among others, was bombed in Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon. Nasim, along with former foreign minister Dipu Moni and local MP Haji Mohammad Salim, were on stage during the blasts.
Earlier in the day, Nasim announced the decision to form committees to resist terrorism and violence of BNP- Jamaat in every locality of the country.
“The AL-led 14-party alliance will form committees in each and every locality to resist secret attacks of BNP and Jamaat,” he said at a press conference after attending a meeting of 14-party at AL President’s political office in the city’s Dhanmondi.
The Minister said, “Our main task is to unite the people against violence and terrorism. They will identify the criminals along with the law enforcement agencies.
