Bodies of 3 more trawler capsize victims found

The bodies of three more fishermen, who went missing following a trawler capsize in the Meghna River in Tajumuddin upazila on January 29, were recovered on Wednesday, six days after the incident.
The deceased were identified as Sharif Hossain, 40, son of Belayet Hossain of Keyamullah village, Siraj, 20, son of Nasir Majhi of Hajikandi village, and Raji, 22, son of Shahjahan Pundit of the upazila.
Locals spotted the bodies of the three fishermen at separate places of Meghna River-Sonar Char, Bayar Char and Battir Char-after 11 am and informed police.
Later, police and Bangladesh Coast Guard members recovered the bodies with the help of local people.
Humayun Kabir, officer-in-charge of Tajumuddin Police Station, said the bodies
were handed over to the victims’ families.
Earlier on Monday, the body of Hridoy was recovered from Sonar Char area.
Six fishermen went missing when the trawler capsized in the Meghna River after being caught by a violent storm in Tajumuddin upazila on January 29 night.
