Bodies of 17 BD nat`ls back home today

The bodies of 17 Bangladesh nationals killed in the US-Bangla Airlines plane crash on March 12 will be brought back home today (Monday).
First Secretary and Head of Chancery Embassy of Bangladesh in Nepal, Mohammad Al Alamul Emam, said the bodies would be brought back by a special flight of Bangladesh Air Force.
 “The government has taken all the preparations to bring back the bodies. The Nepalese government is likely to give approval on Sunday night,” he said.
The relatives of the 17 deceased will also arrive by a chartered plane of US-Bangla Airlines, he said.
The bodies will be first taken to Bangladesh Mission in Kathmandu, Nepal, where their first Namaj-e-Janaza will be held. Then they will be flown home at 6am.
On March 12, at least 51 people marched to deaths when a aircraft of the US-Bangla Airlines crashed at the Kathmandu airport in Nepal.
A total of 28 Bangladeshis, 22 Nepalese, and one Chinese citizen were killed in the deadly crash.
Seventeen Bangladeshi victims had been identified and a list containing the names was released by the Bangladesh Embassy on Saturday.
More bodies were identified on Sunday, but the embassy has not received confirmation as to whether any of them was Bangladeshi national.
Five of the 10 Bangladeshi survivors have returned to Bangladesh, two have been sent to Singapore and returned to Dhaka on Sunday.
Survivor Shahin Bepari, who received treatment in a Kathmandu hospital, has boarded a Biman Bangladesh flight for home, said Emam. Survivor Kabir Hossain will return home on Monday.
Embassy officials say they are trying to transfer Eakub Ali, who is currently admitted to Norvic International Hospital, to New Delhi for treatment.
Survivor Emrana Kabir Hashi, who was admitted to a Kathmandu hospital, was sent to Singapore. Survivor Rizwanul Haque has also been at a Singapore hospital since Wednesday.
Survivors Shahreen Ahmed, Mehedi Hassan, Saiyda Kamrunnahar Swarna, Almun Nahar Annie and Sheikh Rashed Rubayat have returned to Bangladesh and are currently at Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s Burns and Plastic Surgery Unit.
