Boca remain in 5th spot after loss to San Lorenzo

Boca Juniors lost 2-0 to San Lorenzo on Sunday and remains fifth on the standings after the fourteenth round of Argentina’s first division.
Boca’s bitter rival River Plate remains four points clear at the top of the ladder with a game in hand after its match against Estudiantes was postponed due to pitch conditions. Heavy rain also stopped second place Lanus from completing the game against Tigre, although the first half finished 0-0. Sunday’s other game, Arsenal against Independiente, was also postponed.
Martin Cauteruccio opened for San Lorenzo with a header in the 52nd and Gonzalo Veron doubled the lead with a powerful finish six minutes later.
