The body of a minor boy who went missing after a boat capsized in Surma on May 26 was recovered from the river at Kanaighat Darul Ulum Madrasha point in Kanaighat upazila on Tuesday.
Locals spotted the body of two-year old Mushahid near the bank of the river in the morning and informed police.
Later, a team of police recovered the decomposed body in the afternoon.
Earlier, Mushahid went missing as he fell from the laps of his mother Hasina Begum of Kuorghuri village in Kanaighat uapzila when an engine-run boat capsized after being hit by a stone-laden vessel.
