President of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq, also the Chief of Bangladesh Army, will hand over their pre-announced prize money to the medal winning Bangladeshi athletes in the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Baku, Azerbaijan last May.
The BOA chief will hand over the prize money to four international medal winning Bangladeshi athletes-shooters Abdullah Hel Baki, Syeda Atkia Hasan and Rabbi Hasan Munna and lifter Shrin Akhter-at a function at Kurmitola Golf Club, Dhaka Cantonment on Saturday (December 30) at 11 am.
Shooters Abdullah Hel Baki and Syeda Atkia Hasan won the gold medal in mixed team event of the 10-meter Air Rifles to receive prize money of Tk four lakh (two lakh each).
Another shooter Rabbi Hasan Munna, who earned a silver medal in the men’s 10-meter Air Rifles (individual), will receive a prize money of TK two lakh while lifter Shrin Akhter, who managed a bronze medal in the women’s 69 kgs weight category, will get a prize money of Tk one lakh.
