BNP’s purpose won’t be successful, says Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that the purpose of BNP to oust the government by calling indefinite hartal and blockade across the country would not be successful as they have no support of people.
He said that the ruling government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wants peace and normalcy what the people want, and that’s why people have avoided the hartal and blockade.
The Minister made this comments while addressing as Chief Guest at a discussion held at the central auditorium of Jagannath University (JnU) on Wednesday marking Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language Day organised by JnU BCL unit.
Pointing at the BCL, Road Transport and Bridges Minister said that BCL will have to do many things for keeping contribution to the nation’s development imbued with the spirit of Ekushey, adding that ” The success of Amar Ekushey will be found when there will be no bad news concerning BCL in the newspapers.”
Moreover, he also urged people from all walks of life to stand against those malefactors who want to demolish the country.
JnU Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Mizanur Rahman, former BCL General Secretary Alhaj Nazrul Islam Babu (MP, Narayangonj-2) and Acting General Secretary Advocate Saifuzzaman Sikhor, BCL President H M Bodiuzzaman Shohag and General Secretary Siddiqui Nazmul Alam were present as special guests at the programme with JnU BCL President FM Shariful Islam in the chair.
JnU unit BCL general secretary SM Sirajul Islam moderated the whole programme.
