BNP’s Ishraque announces manifesto promising modern Dhaka

Staff Reporter: BNP mayor candidate for Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) polls, Ishraque Hossain on Tuesday announced his election manifesto promising a modern, better and world-class metropoliton city.
Ishraque focused primarily on healthcare, education, environment, communication system and public safety.
The BNP mayoral candidate presented his manifesto at the National Press Club this afternoon where he also reiterated his determination to boost moral values of people in the wake of widespread violence against women and children.
‘City dwellers are riddled with many problems and I am on the same page with them,’ Ishraque said promising to free the city from pollution, traffic and waterlogging if he is elected.
He also highlighted peopleÕs plight in accessing various social services and blamed corruption, social discrimination and lack of accountability for it.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Mirza Abbas, Prof Emajuddin Ahmed, Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President ASM Abdur Rob, among others, were present.
