BNP to announce full committee in three phases

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is likely to announce its new central committee in three phases.
The Chairperson will declare the names of the members of the party’s highest policy-making forum National Standing Committee, Vice Chairmen, Chairperson’s Advisors, Joint-Secretary Generals and Organizing Secretaries this week.
Sources said, the probable candidates for standing committee are Shah Moazzem Hossain, Abdullah Al Noman, Sadeque Hossain Khoka, Major (Rtd) Hafiz Uddin
Ahmed, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Advocate Khandkar Mahbub Hossain, Abdul Awal Mintu, Dr. Osman Faruk, Muhammad Shahjahan and Salah Uddin Ahmed.
For the post of Vice-Chairmen the probable candidates are: Barrister Shahjahan Omar, Shamsuzzaman Dudu, Advocate Ahmed Ajam Khan, Professor MA Mannan, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Major General (rtd.) Ruhul Alam Chowdhury, Inam Ahmed Chowdhury, Mosaddeq Ali Falu, Aman Ullah Aman, Mizanur Rahman Minu, Barkatullah Bulu, Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Dr. Asaduzzaman Ripon and TM Gias Uddin.
The probable candidates for the chairperson’s advisors are: Mosharraf Hossain, Professor Dr. Emajuddin Ahmed, Dr. Mahbub Ullah, Mahfuz Ulllah, Shafiq Rehman and Abdul Hye Sikdar, among others.
The names of probable new joint secretaries are: Mojibur Rahman Sarwar, Fazlul Haque Milon, Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, Ehsanul Haque Milon, Ruhul Quddus Talukdar Dulu and Nazrul Islam Monju.
As the organizing Secretaries, the names are: Abdus Salam Azad for Dhaka, Abul Khair Bhuiyan for Chittagong, Nadim Mustafa for Rajshahi, Sabirul Islam Sabu for Khulna, Dr. Sakhawat Hasan Jibon for Sylhet, ABM Mosharraf Hossain for Barisal, Asadul Habib Dulu for Rongpur, Rafik Sikdar for Mymensingh, Monirul Haque Sakku for Comilla, and Ali Newaz Mahmud Khaiyam for Faridpur divisions.
Sources said the other secretariat posts and national executive committee will be declared in second phase next week. And the newly created 27 Central Sub-Committees will be declared in the third phase in the second or third week of the month.
Party sources said, “The party council accepted 27 basically subject based sub-committees like health affairs subcommittee and international affaires subcommittee. The chairmen of the sub committeess will be nominated from the party vice-chairmen. The one secretary, one joint secretary and 12 members of the bodies will be appointed from former leaders of JCD, Juba Dal and Sechchhasebok Dal, the associate bodies of BNP. The secretaries joint-secretaries and members will hold the same status of the national executive committee of the party.”
