The BNP has backed up the CPB and the BSD’s stand against the increase of the gas price by the government.
“We have lent support to the CPB and the BSD’s hartal call on 28th February as a sign of protest against the increase of the gas price last week. At the same time we have urged the government to reverse the decision in no loss of time,” said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir while speaking with the journalists on Saturday in Thakurgaon town after taking part in the Ijtema.
He said, “Though the people’s income has not increased, the cost of living has gone up. So, the increase of gas price will not be a welcome news.”
