The BNP has started to reshuffle its committees to make the organizational base solid and strong.
“After the unbalanced election on December 30, the people of Bangladesh are waiting for BNP’s re-emergence as a strong party so that it can restore democracy. The BNP is trying to reshuffle its committees from bottom to top by giving active leaders priorities,” BNP Joint-Secretary General Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal told The New Naiton on Friday.
He said the BNP has already started the reshuffling work in its front and associated bodies. The Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), BNP’s Foreign Affairs Committee and Motshayjibidal have been reorganized within last few days.

has been made its foreign affairs committee’s Chairman.
Moazzem Hossain Alal said, the party high command has decided to bring active leaders in front line giving important responsibilities.
Besides, the inactive leaders will be warned by giving a time to correct themseoves so as to remain in the same posts. The party sources said, the BNP has decided soon after the last general polls to make its all branches strong and capable for a tough movement and to compel the government to hold a fresh election within short time.
To translate the plan into action, the party high command has started its party reorganizing work. in the 10 committees formed to visit the divisions of the country for talks with local party leaders and supporters to know their crisis and hardship. The committees have already started its tour to knock every door of the grassroots level.
Sources said the party high command give directions to the grassroots leaders to reshuffle its committees from them. It said that firstly the Unit leaders will form Ward committees then Ward leaders will form Union committees and then the Union committees reshuffle the Upazila committees and then they reorganize the district committees. The central executive committee will be formed. after forming all the district committees through councils.
Senior leaders of the party said, the vacant posts of the National Standing Committee and other posts of the central executive committee will be filled soon.
When contacted, BNP Vice-Chairman Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yousuf told The New Nation on Friday, “It is very important to reorganize our party soon. The active ones will be needed to go ahead to take the liabilities of making strong agitation in all the way.”
He said the party seniors have knowledge enough that who is active in the party and who is none.
About optimism of the coming agitation, Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal said, “When a ruling party keeps all state powers in their grip to make a lopsided election, then it may take time to get success in a democratic movement. But the victory of the truth is a must though it takes long time.”
He said the people are with the BNP so we are optimistic about the eventually victory of the democracy.
