A day before the hearing on a bail petition filed by their party chief Khaleda Zia with the High Court, BNP standing committee members discussed legal issues with her lawyers and worked out their next course of action.
The meeting was held at BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan in the evening. However, the party leaders did not brief reporters about the meeting outcome.
A BNP standing committee member, wishing anonymity, said they elaborately discussed the
legal issues regarding Khaleda’s release from jail.
He said they suggested the lawyers to seek the court’s directive to produce the BNP chief before it if the BSMMU’s medical report is not satisfactory.
