Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon said there is a discordant between Jatiya Oikyafront and BNP over the continuation of the trial of war criminals.
“Though Oikyafront pledged to continue trial process of war criminals in its manifesto while BNP is silent to continue the trials if it comes to power,” said Menon.
“It is normal that BNP manifesto avoided the trials of 1971 war criminals as 25 Jamaat-e-Islami leaders are contesting the polls with ‘Sheaf of Paddy, the electoral symbol of BNP. The dissimilarity unveiled the real face of them and people will reject their forgery in the upcoming general election,” he said this on Wednesday while speaking at a discussion held at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) here.Criticising Oikyafront’s pledge, which said there would be no age limit to get government job, Workers’ Party President Menon said they want to deprive country’s youth with this.
