BNP nominated and 20-pary supported mayor candidate Ariful Haque Chwdhury said, ‘I have become candidate for the development of Sylhet city. But three years are lapsed from me by keeping me under imprisonment, so full development could not be taken place but I proved it by my work with desire and sincerity only for two years. I could not get the opportunity for 17 years. One can dedicate him for the welfare of humanity’.
On Wednesday he started campaign from Aman Ullah Convention Centre and went round the area of Rajpur , Shaplabag , Golapbag and Gopaltila in Sylhet City since 10.00 a.m. Wednesday.
In the mass contact programme , those who took part are BNP Central Organising Secretary Dr. Shekawat Hussain JIbon, Joint Secretary General of Jamiat-Ulema -E Islam Moulana Abdul Malik Chowdhury, City Unit President Moulana Khaliur Rahman. Vice-President of CityUnit Khelafat Mojlish Abdul Hunnan Tapadar and others.
In Rajpur and Gopaltila, Jatiyatabadi Shangskritic Shangstha (JSS) Central leaders accompanied with Mr. Ariful Haque Chowdhury in favour of ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ .
