Chittagong Metro Police detained President of BNP city unit Dr. Shahdat Hossain from Nasimon Bhaban premises while altercations with the police forces deployed in front of party office in the city yesterday .
Police cordoned the city BNP office following the verdict against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia. Police sources said clash between the supporters of BNP and law enforcers centering the hurling of brick bats upon patrolling police infront of party office . Another 14 activists of BNP beside the city President were detained by police. In the clash .
Abu Sufian, Vice president city unit also injured in the scruple with police. Meanwhile with hurling of brick bats, atleast 10 policemen were injured on the spot.
Kotwali thana police sources said, the injured police were given preliminary treatment at chittagong medical college hospital.
