The High Court (HC) yesterday granted interim bail to BNP leader Barkatullah Bulu in seven cases lodged for allegedly committing subversive activities.
A High Court division bench comprising Justice Md Miftah Uddin Choudhury And Justice ANM Bashir Ullah
passed the order as Bulu’s counsel Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon and Barrister Sakib Mahbub pleaded for bail for their client.
Deputy attorney general Moniruzzaman Kabir stood for the state and opposed the bail plea.
Police filed the cases with Paltan, Motijheel, Mohammadpur and Shere bangle Nagar Police Stations in the capital in 2015 against Bulu and others for allegedly carrying out subversive activities.
