Chattogram Metropolitan Police, EPZ thana forces detained BNP leader and Managing Director of MEB Group of Chattogram Md. Shamsul Alamas convicted in a money laundering suit.
As per warrant of arrest, he was arrested, police added. He was detained from Golpahar crossing in the city yesterday afternoon.
Inspector of Police (investigation) Md. Osman Gani told that following the misappropriation case of Tk.15 crores, two suits werelodged with the Dhaka Court by a industrial group and as per verdict of the court,he was arrested.
