BNP defeated for 2nd time by deciding to join UZ polls: Amu

Amir Hossain Amu, lawmaker and minister for industries on Thursday in Barisal said that BNP-led alliance has been defeated for the second time by deciding to join in Upazila poll under AL-led government.
It means BNP-led alliance accepted and recognized the credibility of the 10th national assembly election conducted under the government led by Sheikh Hasina, he added.
Amu reaching Barisal by helicopter was addressing in a reception programme at the conference room of the Barisal Circuit House arranged by city AL at noon.
Huge number of college students queued on the way of the minister from helipad to circuit house and give flower basket to the minister at the programme.
Amu in replying his reception said BNP-led alliance was first defeated by failing to prevent 10th national assembly election even creating reign of terrorism, damaging industries and economics and killing innocent people.
The minister further told now the time has come for the BNP-led alliance to beg pardon before the mass people and give explanation that after announcing not to participate in any election under Sheikh Hasina-led government and damaging huge lives and properties of the citizens and state why BNP failed to prevent the national assembly election and why they participating in local government like upazila parishad elections.
