UNB, Pabna :
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Wednesday claimed that BNP has declared a ‘war’ against the court after having failed to launch a movement.
“BNP doesn’t obey the law and it doesn’t want to abide by the rule of law, too,” he said while addressing a workers’ rally of district Awami League at the Pabna Police Lines ground.
Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said the country’s people had never responded to BNP’s movement and will not do in future. “There’ll be no high tide in the dead river of BNP’s movement. Their movement is now in Khaleda Zia’s vanity bag,” he said.
He also said the government does not interfere in the court and Awami League always respectful to the law. “Sons of ruling party MPs, pro-AL mayors and Chhatra League leaders and activists had to land in jail.”
Mentioning that BNP has some pathological liars whose job is to spread falsehood, the ruling party leader said, “The sheaf of paddy has now turned into a stomach poison for people for this.”
District Awami League President and Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif presided over the meeting where local MPs Golam FarukKhandakar Prince, Azizul HuqArzu and Mokbul Hossain, and Pabna Zila Parishad Chairman Rezaul Karim were present.
