‘BNP conspiring to make city polls questionable’

Awami League Advisory Council member Suranjit Sengupta on Friday said BNP is conspiring to blacken the upcoming city corporation elections aiming to achieve their evil political gains.
“BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is giving controversial speech over the city polls to make it questionable,” he told a discussion on “Current politics in Bangladesh” organized by Nouka Samarthak Ghosthi at Diploma Engineers Institute here.
Criticizing the comments of Khaleda Zia on city polls, Suranjit said she (Khaleda) must refrain herself from electioneering to hold a free and fair election.
People are getting smell of conspiracy as BNP chairman is making unacceptable speeches over the city corporation polls, he said adding you (Khaleda) must stop making any objectionable comment, which may blacken the upcoming city polls.
Leader of Samyabadi Dal Harun Chowdhury and Freedom Fighter Abdul Hai Kanu, among others, addressed the discussion with president of Nouka Samarthak Ghosthi Dr Imdadul Haque in the chair.
