The leaders and workers of Chittagong City BNP of Chittagong Unit put enforced gherao programme in Agrabad Power Development Board building in city yesterday to press home their demand of uninterrupted power supply and stopping of issuing average power bills to the domestic consumers yesterday morning.
During gherao program, city BNP General Secretary Dr. Shahdat Hossain in his brief deliberations blamed the govt for not providing uninterrupted power supply to the domestic consumers and blamed the PDB officials for issuing the willful power bills without checking the power meters door to doors of the consumers.
He said present govt is failed to provide power, water and gas as desired by the city dwellers and the city dwellers are the worst sufferers of the power outage in city.
City Vice president Abu Sufian presided over the gherao program.
Among others BNP leaders Mahbubur Rahman, Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Jubo Dal General Secretary Mosharraf Hossain, Md. Iqbal HOssain, Jelly Chowdhury, Fatema Badsha, Chhatra Dal President Gazi Sirajdowlla, General Secretary Belayet Hossain Bulu were present on the occasion.
