Bangladesh Mobile Phone Manufacturers’
Association (BMPMA) has placed a set of demands before the government, including providing financial support and soft term loans to its member factories, to offset the shock of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). In a letter sent to Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal signed recently by BMPMA President Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub and General Secretary Jakaria Shahid, the association urged the Finance Minister to provide financial support as like the Package 5 of the Stimulus Package announced recently by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to give salaries and allowances of workers of the concerned industries for the next six months (April-September) this year, said a press release.
The BMPMA also demanded of the Finance Minister to provide soft term loans to its member organizations from the working capital fund under Package one under the stimulus package announced by the Premier while the entrepreneurs would repay such loans in 18 months.
