Government has allocated 30,820 blankets for distribution among the poor people stricken with cold for reducing their sufferings as the temperature has declined in all seven Upazilas of the district.
District Relief and Rehabilitation Office sources said district.

Each of 65 unions and 2 municipalities of the district will get 460 blankets. The sources said more than 22,000 blankets have already been sent to the upazilas of the district for distribution.
The unions and upazila level authorities are making lists of poor cold victims on the priority basis, the sources said. The distribution of blankets will get started as soon as the lists are completed, the sources added.
Charghat (Rajshahi) Correspondent adds: Winter blanket were distributed at Charghat upazila by Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief on Monday night. UNO Muhammad Nazmul Haque, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Anisur Rahman jointly distributed the blanket.
Upazila Chairmen and Administration has distributed 960 blankets . On the other hand 3220 pieces winter blanket were also distributed among cold- hit people of the upazial recently.
