Hosts BKSP players reached the finals of both the boys’ singles and boys doubles of the 11th BKSP Asian Under-14 Tennis Tournament eliminating their rivals in the semifinals at BKSP Tennis Court in Savar on Wednesday.
Romman Hossain moved to the boys’ singles final eliminating his compatriot Mohammad Sohel 6-0, 6-2 while Mohammad Rakib Hossain also booked a seat for the final beating his team-mate M Imon Islam 6-0, 6-2
In the boys’ doubles, Roman Hossain pairing with Mohammad Farhad advanced to the final defeating their compatriot Imon Islam and Ranjit Sarker 6-7 (5), 6-1, 10-7 while another BKSP pair Utsha and Rakib made a final berth beating Shohel and Shawon 0-6, 6-3, 10-7.
The boys’ doubles final will be held on Thursday.
In the girls’ doubles, BKSP pair Jerin Sultana Jolly and Rinvi Akhter Tripti finished runners-up losing the final to South Korean rivals 0-6, 0-6.
