BKSP emerged as the champions of the Agrani Bank 26th National Youth Hockey Competition defeating Dhaka Education Board by 5-0 goals in the final at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Monday.
BKSP led the first half 3-0.
Sohanur Rahman of BKSP put his team ahead using a penalty corner in the 20th minute of the play.
Debashish Kumar Roy doubled the margin by a field goal in the 28th minute of the game.
After one minute, Md Mohsin made it 3-0 by a field goal.
Md Mohsin increased the tally into 4-0 by a field goal in the 37th minute of the clash.
Sohanur Rahman sealed the fate of the match capitalizing a penalty corner in the 58th minute of the match.
The champions were awarded Taka thirty thousand, while the runners-up were given Taka twenty thousand as prize-money.
Shafiul Alam Shishir of BKSP was adjudged the Man of the Tournament. He got Taka ten thousand. Sohanur Rahman was the highest scorer of the competition with 22 goals. He was given Taka ten thousand.
General Manager of Agrani Bank Limited Pankaj Roy Chowdhury was the chief guest of the final match, while Deputy General Manager of Agarani Bank Limited Shahdat Hossain was with him as the special guest.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) Abdus Sadeque, Secretary of the Tournament Committee Md Mahabubul Ehsan Rana and the other officials of BHF were present at the time.
