The Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) Cup Archery championship began on Wednesday at the BKSP ground no one in Savar.
A total of eight teams are competing in the three-day meet.
Youth and Sports Secretary Kazi Akter Uddin Ahmed formally inaugurated the event as the chief guest with tournament sponsor The Balzer BD’s managing director and Bangladesh Archery Federation general secretary Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapal in the chair.
On the opening day, all the participants took part in their rank deciding competition.
Sponsored by The Blazer BD and organised by BKSP a total of 79 participants (men’s and women’s) are fighting for the 10 gold medals in the recurve and compound division events.
Arif Khan Joy, deputy minister for Youth and Sports, is expected to present on the closing (Friday) ceremony and distribute the prizes.
The participating teams are BKSP, BKSP High Performance team, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Dhaka Army Archery Club, ASPTS Archery Club, Tirondaj Sangsad, The Blazer BD and Quantum Foundation.
