Muhammad Awal Khan joined Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) as Managing Director on November 16, 2016.
Formerly he was the Managing Director of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB). He starts his banking career at Bangladesh Krishi Bank in 1982. During his career, he holds the position of Deputy Managing Director of Agrani Bank Ltd. He also serves as General Manager in Sonali Bank, Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank and Bangladesh Krishi Bank.
He earned post graduation from Finance of Dhaka University in 1979. He has many trainings on banking and attended seminars in USA,UK, Australia,China, India, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Malaysia, Singapore, Nepal, Bahrain and Oman. He comes of a respectable Muslim family from Bakergonj of Barishal district.
